Let's just get this damn thing started then, shall we?
I know, I know, at the moment, the title is a complete lie. To the best of my knowlege, both Gary and I are here ('here' in this case being a position relative to Oxford) but only for a limited time. And when we eventually do get out of here, this site/blog/thing/whatever should get updated a bit more often.
Of course, given that we're buggering off on holiday for a few months probably means that we'll have far to many distractions to spend all our time cooped up in sordid little internet cafes, but should we find ourselves at a loose end then we hereby promise to post waffle onto this website.

Anyway, the whole point of this is really to save on postcards. I'm terrible at writing the sodding things, I have hoards of them at home which I bought on various trips and never got round to sending. Certainly they've got nice pictures on the front, but I'm taking my camera with me so will have plenty of pictures - nice or otherwise - to bore people with at a later date (don't all rush at once). So instead I will attempt to type stuff up here along the lines of the usual postcard misinformation (nice weather, lots of food, occasional llama, that sort of thing). It also means that no one is going to get offended if I don't send them a postcard, thus avoiding a notorious social - if terribly British - mindfield of giving offence by the non-sending of small pieces of thin card.

So there we go. Well, eventually, anyway...
